On December 9th, Dell Technologies announced the Dell EMC XtremIO v6.3 software release. Dell EMC XtremIO X2 v6.3, the newest version of the XtremIO software, builds upon those key attributes and can help accelerate IT transformation and data center modernization.
Here’s a few highlights of what’s new in 6.3:
• Synchronous replication: Provides increased flexibility to optimize data availability options to better meet broadened business requirements
• 2x the number of volumes: Provides reduced cost of ownership by supporting increased levels of consolidation and iCDM scalability
• Secure snapshots: Increases levels of protection of user data from malicious intrusion or accidental deletion via immutable snapshot support
• Future Proof Loyalty Program data efficiency improvements
Target Use Cases: The latest XtremIO announcements help customers better address the needs of their high value applications, with particular focus on:
• Existing XtremIO customers who may have high availability requirements, particularly if required for regulatory purposes
• Environments where many copies of an application are required e.g. Dev / Test / QA, high fidelity logical backups, etc.
