How to Create a Custom Widget from a Collection of Flows

By | April 26, 2017

I was working with AMP this afternoon and thought of a question a customer asked me about troubleshooting using saved flows. A great way of keeping the flows together and working with them over and over is to add the flows to a Collection. A Collection is made up of flow filters that you have saved using the Flows tab. Collection Management can be used for creating custom MAPS rules applied to specific flows, but it’s also for collecting saved flow filters. One of the cool widgets that we can create for a custom Dashboard is the Flow Collection widget.

Couple of benefits to doing this:
You can move into investigation mode from the widget
You don’t have to search for the flows every time you want to look at them
Share the custom dashboard with coworkers so they can monitor as well
Apply custom MAPS rules for specific flows

I’m going to show you with screen shot to reduce the amount of reading needed. 🙂

Let’s get started.
