AAP Migration Planning | Podman Desktop | Workshops | Allergy Season

Hello Red Hat Enthusiasts. I hope your Q2 is going well and you are ready for the pollen season. In the newsletter this month we’ll be discussing migration planning from Ansible Automation Platform 1.2 (Tower) to 2.x (Controller), Podman Desktop for managing containers and a list of upcoming workshops available online.

The first CDT/Red Hat sponsored Linux Community Forum on April 11th was an absolute blast. We got to hear from Shera Mui and Scott McDonald from CDT to open the event, followed by the team at DOJ on the roll-out of OpenShift. DOJ spoke in detail of their journey and answered questions from the group. The second half we watched a live demo on OpenShift by Red Hat, had open Q&A, ate lots of food and even had an easter egg hunt!. We hope that you can make the next gathering in July.

Migration Planning for Ansible Automation Platform 1.2 to 2.x
On September 29, 2023, Ansible Automation Platform 1.2 will reach End of Life (EOL)

Last year about this time Red Hat announced an extension to the 1.2 Platform to September 29, 2023. As we are approaching the EOL date I would like to make you aware of the resources available to plan, organize and upgrade successfully. Please review the materials available from the links below and let us know if you have any questions.

Join us on May 4, 2023 for a virtual town hall where product experts will offer recommendations and guidance for a successful migration. Customers will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive up-to-date migration resources. https://events.redhat.com/profile/form/index.cfm?PKformID=0x796671abcd

We would be happy to address any questions you have and get you in touch with consulting for a scoping call if you would like the Red Hat team to perform the upgrade for you.
