What’s Happening @ Red Hat – July 2022

By | July 1, 2022

It’s officially summer vacation season. Hope you are all enjoying the 100+ weather… it’s my favorite! This month I’m focusing on the ever popular cloud (you know, the computers in the sky). I also need to make a shout out to my new favorite, Advanced Cluster Security for hardening your OpenShift clusters on-prem or in the cloud. ACS is SERIOUSLY awesome! – Scott Belz

Advanced Cluster Security – A Bodyguard for Your Container Platform
Lit·er·al·ly /ˈlidərəlē,ˈlitrəlē/ took less than 15 minutes to install

Last week I got the pleasure of working with Product Solutions Architect, Phillip Kramp, on a Proof of Concept project for one of our customers. As I watched Phillip walk the customer through the steps, I was amazed at how simple the install was, which was done through the OpenShift console as an operator. Within minutes ACS (Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security for Kubernetes) was up and running and already providing details to the customer on hardening the security of their OpenShift clusters.

In an analysis completed in April 2022 titled “Container Security Leadership Compass”, Kuppinger Cole Analysts reported on the innovation, product and market leadership that Red Hat has in the container security space. Copy of report

Foundationally, RHEL and CoreOS are very secure through the help of SELinux, but with ACS running you get the added benefits of continuous control, protection, detection and response within your container environment.
